Certification is carried out according to the authorization of the Ministry of Economy for heat energy meters and water meters with diameters from DN15 to DN50.
Certification of measuring instruments is carried out in accordance with the Law on Metrology and includes inspection and stamping of measuring instruments, i.e. issuance of certification certificates. Certification is carried out after the measuring procedure has been carried out, which confirms that the measuring device is in accordance with the approved type of measuring device, that is, that it meets the prescribed metrological requirements.
Authentication can be:
- Periodically – periodically in the prescribed time interval, which for energy consumption meters and water meters is 5 years
- Extraordinary – a measuring instrument that was excluded from use due to a malfunction or other technical defects, on which a repair was made or when regular verification was not performed within the prescribed period.
