Fully automatic control of systems and boilers (OMRON PLCs and WONDERWARE InTouch SCADA) was done in all the heating plants. An application has been developed that integrates the control of all the heating plants in the dispatch center. The dispatcher computer communicates with other computers in all Novi Sad heating plants through the heating network. Data is archived on every computer in the premises, but there is also a central database on the dispatcher’s computer, which stores all measurements from all heating plants and serves to analyze the operation of objects through historical trends and reports according to different criteria. Also, the dispatcher computer reads values from three meteorological stations and, according to the thermal algorithm, calculates the required water value on the thrust into the city and forwards that value to all computers by objects.
